The event, held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at La Cambusa in Piazza Marina, marked a significant moment for the local food and wine community, celebrating the dedication and passion of the participants in the world of wine.
The course: a comprehensive training journey
The course, which began on 21st March, provided participants with a comprehensive training programme consisting of fourteen weekly lessons, culminating in a final exam on 6th June. The exam included a written test and a practical wine-tasting session with five wines. The lessons covered a wide range of topics, including tasting techniques, wine legislation and labelling, viticulture basics, and analytical parameters, offering thorough training for both enthusiasts and professionals in the sector.
Staff Continuing Professional Development: A commitment that grows over time
La Cambusa firmly believes in the importance of Continuing Professional Development, an essential pillar for offering a service that is always more qualified and up to our customers’ expectations. This year, we are proud to announce that another member of our staff has followed the same path and successfully obtained the same certification. This achievement not only enriches the professional journey of the person who reached it but also strengthens our company, making it more knowledgeable and competent. Training is, and will continue to be, one of La Cambusa’s most important investments because only through a well-prepared team can we guarantee the quality that sets us apart.
The Collaboration with ONAV and our commitment to enhancing Sicilian Enogastronomic tradition
The collaboration with ONAV Palermo, a non-profit organization founded in 1951 and dedicated to the training and promotion of the wine taster profession, represents a valuable opportunity for La Cambusa to promote wine culture and support professional development in the wine sector. We are proud to have contributed to the success of this event and look forward to continuing to collaborate with ONAV on future initiatives, with the goal of spreading the passion for wine and for Sicilian enogastronomic tradition.
